Aural Rehabilitation

The human auditory system processes sound through our ears but understanding is processed in the brain.

When you first begin using hearing aids you will hear normal sounds that you have not been able to hear.  The brain will not recognize these sounds and needs to become familiar with them again. With the use of Listening and Communication Enhancement Software (LACE) we are able to retrain the brain to listen and correctly process these unfamiliar sounds.
